आतापर्यंत केवळ मराठी मुलखाचीच नासधूस करणारा सिद्दी १६ ऑगस्ट पासून इंग्रजांनाही त्रास देऊ लागला. त्याने इंग्रज दलालाकडून पैशाची मागणी करून तसेच मुंबईच्या वखारीची नासधूस केली. मुंबईकरांनी हि तक्रार सुरातकरांना कळविताच त्यांनी कोणाही इंगर्ज नागरिकाने सिद्दीच्या नोकरीत जाऊ नये असा हुकुम काढला. मुंबईकरांनी हा हुकुम ताबडतोब अमलात आणला.🚩🏇🏻🚩🏇🏻🚩🏇🏻🚩🏇🏻🚩🏇🏻

बादशहाचे हाल पाहून मराठ्यांना जास्तच चेव चढला. सभोवार घिरट्या घालून त्यांनी शक्य तितक्या उच्छाद चालवला. हनुमंतराव निंबाळकराने १६ ऑगस्ट रोजी “खटाव” ठाणे काबीज केले व तेथे मोगलांच्या बाजूने असणार्या मराठी अधिकार्याला ठार मारले.🚩🏇🏻🚩🏇🏻🚩🏇🏻🚩🏇🏻🚩🏇🏻
