तुंग-तिकोना गडाचा फारसा इतिहास उपलब्ध नाही. परंतु पंधराव्या शतकाच्या अखेरीस, मलिक अहमद निजामशहा याने इ.स. १४८२-८३ च्या सुमारास जुन्नर प्रांतावर स्वारी करून जुन्नर चा बराचसा प्रांत आला त्यानंतर त्याने लोहगड काबीज केला. नंतर त्याने आपले सैन्य तुंग व तिकोना गडांकडे वळविला.इ.स. १५८५ मध्ये मलीक अहमद निजामशाहने हा किल्ला जिंकुन निजामशाहीत आणला. इ.स. १६५८ मध्ये शिवाजी महाराजांनी तुंग- तिकोना किल्ला जिंकुन परत स्वराज्यात आणला🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇

छत्रपती शिवरायांनी विजापूरच्या आदीलशहाचे "बिदनूर" शहर छापा घालून लुटले. महाराजांनी बिदनूरची स्वारी ही जलमार्गाने जाऊन केली होती. राजांनी नौकानयन करून सागर उल्लंघू नये ही हिंदू धर्माची खुळचट रूढी उधळून लावली. शिवराय हिंदू धर्मातील परंपरांचा सन्मान करत होते पण धर्मातील खुळचट रूढी परंपरांना आपल्या चरीत्रात मुळीच थारा दिला नाही.🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇९ फेब्रुवारी इ.स.१६७०

मुघल सरदार "मुकर्रबखान" याने "छत्रपती संभाजी महाराज" यांना कैद केले. संभाजी महाराजांच्या हत्ये नंतर अवघ्या १४ व्या दिवशीच रायगडास वेढा पडला. यावेळी रायगडचे किल्लेदार होते चांगोजी काटकर आणि त्यासोबत गडावर होते येसाजी कंक.संभाजी महाराज पकडले गेल्याची बातमी रायगडावर पोहोचताच अवघ्या ८ दिवसाताच राजाराम महाराजांना नजरकैदेतून सोडून किल्ले रायगडावर "महाराणी येसूबाई" व किल्ल्यावरील मराठी सरदारांच्या सल्ल्याने राजाराम महाराजांचे "मंचकारोहन" झाले.स्वराज्याचे तिसरे छत्रपती राजाराम मराराजांचा राजाभिषेक दिन.🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇 जय जगदंब जय जिजाऊ जय शिवराय जय शंभूराजेFebruary 9, 1658
There is not much history of Tung-Tikona fort. But at the end of the fifteenth century, Malik Ahmed Nizamshah He invaded Junnar province around 1482-83 and captured most of Junnar province, after which he captured Lohgad. He then shifted his army to the forts of Tung and Tikona. In 1585, Malik Ahmad Nizamshah conquered the fort and brought it under Nizamshah. इ.स. In 1658, Shivaji Maharaj conquered Tung-Tikona fort and brought it back to Swarajya

Chhatrapati Shivaji raided and looted the "Bidnur" city of Adilshah of Bijapur. The Maharaja had invaded Bidnur by water. The kings broke the strict tradition of Hinduism not to cross the sea by sailing. Shivrai was respecting the traditions of Hinduism but he did not allow the pure orthodox traditions of the religion in his character at all.
