सन १६६५ मध्ये मिर्झाराजा जयसिंग याने शिवरायांच्या प्रदेशावर स्वारी केली. दाऊदखान आणि रायसिंग या दोन सरदारांना त्याने या परिसरातील किल्ले जिंकण्यासाठी पाठविले. ३० जून १६६५ रोजी मुगल सैन्याने राजगडावर चाल केली. परंतु मराठयांनी किल्ल्यावरून विलक्षण मारा केल्यामुळे मुगलांना माघार घ्यावी लागली.🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳३० जून इ.स.१६९३
मराठा सरदार "नावजी बलकवडे" आणि त्यांचे साथीदार मावळे मध्यरात्री "किल्ले सिंहगड" च्या पायथ्याशी आले.मध्यरात्री नावजी शिड्या व दोर बरोबर घेऊन कोंढाणा (सिंहगड) चढु लागले.अवघड मार्गानी खाचा-खळग्यातुन ते तटबंदीच्या खाली आले. परंतु किल्ल्यावर मोगलांची गस्त सुरु होती आणि पहांरेकरी सावध होते, त्यामुळे मराठ्यांना तटाला शिड्या लावता आल्या नाहीत. सुर्योदय झाला...तेंव्हा किल्ल्य़ावरच्या गस्तवाल्यान्ची वेळ संपुन नवे लोक गस्तीसाठी आले.. या लवचिक संधीचा फ़ायदा घेउन नावजींनी शिड्या तटाला लावल्या आणि ते मावळ्यांसह सिंहगडवर आले.. मराठे सैनिकांनी त्याबाजुचे पहारेकरी गुपचुप कापुन काढले. अकस्मात हल्ला झाल्याने मोगलांची फ़ार हानी झाली.मराठे किल्ल्यावर आले आहेत अशी चाहुल जर किल्लेदाराला लागली असती तर तो सावध झाला आणि मोगल सैन्याने एकवटुन नावजींच्या लोकांवर हल्ला चढवला असता.पण नावजींनी त्यांचे काम चोख बजावले होते..पावसाळ्यतल्या धुक्यामुळे लांब वरुन काय चालले आहे ते दिसत नव्हते. नावजींचे धैर्य बघुन विठोजी कारकेंना हुरुप आला. ते यावेळी तटाखाली योग्य संधीची वाट बघत थांबले होते. ते ही शिड्या लाऊन वर आले..आत मराठ्यांचे सर्व सैन्य गडावर पोहोचले होते..हर हर महादेव च्या गजरात मराठ्यांनी मुघलांना चारी मुंड्या चीत करून "किल्ले सिंहगड" पुन्हा स्वराज्यात आणला.सिंहगडाने परत एकदा स्वराज्याचा उंबरा ओलांडला...🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳🏇⛳ जय जगदंब जय जिजाऊ जय शिवराय जय शंभूराजेJune 30, 1677

Maratha chief "Navji Balkwade" and his companions Mavale came to the foothills of "Fort Sinhagad" at midnight.
In the middle of the night, Navji started climbing Kondhana (Sinhagad) with ladders and ropes. He came down the embankment through a difficult path. But the Mughals were patrolling the fort and the guards were alert, so the Marathas could not climb the wall. The sun has risen ...
Then, after the time of patrolling on the fort, new people came for patrolling. Taking advantage of this flexible opportunity, the navigators put up ladders on the wall and they came to Sinhagad with Mavals. The Mughals suffered a great loss due to the sudden attack. If the fort keeper had noticed that the Marathas had come to the fort, he would have been alert and the Mughal army would have united and attacked the people of Navji. But Navji had done his job well.
The rain mist could not see what was going on from afar. Seeing Navji's patience, Vithoji was shocked. They were waiting for the right opportunity under the wall this time. They came up this ladder.
Inside, all the Maratha army had reached the fort.
In the wake of Har Har Mahadev, the Marathas defeated the Mughals and brought "Fort Sinhagad" back to Swarajya. Singhgad once again crossed the threshold of Swarajya ...
